The end goal of the summer trip is threefold. Our first and primary objective is for your student to grow in his/her relationship with God. Leaving the distractions of home, coupled with experiencing powerful times of prayer and worship, will push your student to be stretched in new ways. The second focus of our summer trip is to enable students to connect and develop relationships with one another. This tends to happen when you put 75 teenagers together for a week while fostering and encouraging the shared experiences of the trip! Lastly, this trip is intended to shape your student with a heart to serve others.

Element has a rich tradition of providing students with top notch trip experiences. For our 13th annual trip, we will be staying in the state of Michigan. Travelling by 15 passenger vans, we will travel up to Munising MI, where we will spend 2 days experiencing the most beautiful lakeshore in the United States. Kayaking and hiking will be sure to get each person a hands on view of one of God’s most beautiful creations. After that, we will travel back toward home and spend the rest of the week in Flint MI, where we will be participating in service projects throughout the community. The service projects are facilitated by Forge Flint, a para ministry started by leaders of the Eastern Michigan District in the Nazarene Church.
